Nicole Halsberghe studied graphic design at Sint-Lucas in Ghent and taught there for many years. Intrigued by Asian culture, she also studied graphics, lithography, and woodcutting in Japan at the Tokyo Geijutsu Daigaku (The University of Arts) and she received her doctorate in Sinology from the University of Leuven. Her work has been exhibited extensively in many countries, as far as Japan.
