Jan De Maeseneer is Head of the Department of Family Medicine and Primary Health Care at Ghent University (1991-2017). From 2005 to 2017 he was the Chairman of the European Forum for Primary Care. In 2010 he was appointed Director of the International Centre for Primary Health Care and Family Medicine-Ghent University, a WHO Collaborating Centre on Primary Health Care.
