Cristina Corsi

Cristina Corsi is lecturer and adjunct-professor in Medieval Archaeology at the Italian University of Cassino, with scholarly interests ranging from Roman to Me dieval landscapes. Between 2007 and 2013 she was visiting professor at the Unive rsity of Évora (research centre CIDEHUS) and coordinator, with Frank Vermeulen ( Ghent University), of the scientific activities on the site of Ammaia. From 2009 to 2013 she coordinated the European project 'Radiography of the past. Integrat ed non-destructive approaches to understand and visualise complex archaeological sites' and directed in 2012-2013 'The Ammaia project. A concerted action of arc haeology, natural sciences and applied technologies to place a Roman town in con text'. This project, financed by the Portuguese national fund for research (FCT) , turned Ammaia into an international laboratory for interdisciplinary research.
